This research addresses the notion of the world in the context of the theater/spectacle metaphor used by Hannah Arendt [1906-1975]. Arendtian theory is currently presented as an inexhaustible source of analysis that allows us to become aware of the main dangers posed by our time. His emphasis on the lack of reflection that led to the horrors of the 20th century raises an alarm about trends that we can still observe in the 21st century. Faced with the massive and indiscriminate access to information, the need to remember the importance of developing one's own critical thinking is established. In this way, the need to recover fundamental plurality for the shaping of the world and the development of our spirit is established. As is known, Arendtian theory has always emphasized the role of actors in this regard. However, his position on the political role of the audience has been hotly debated by specialized critics. Our research proposes to focus on the political relevance of this figure of the spectator. In order to delimit the scope of viewers in shaping the world and developing our critical spirit, we must begin by situating the notion of „world‟ within Arendtian theory. More specifically, we must by situating within the metaphor of the theater/spectacle with which our author explains it. In turn, it will be necessary to analyze the relationships of this term with other fundamental concepts in the thought of the German philosopher. Mainly we must analyze the notion of public space and the games of public/private and political/social pairs. It will also be necessary to take into account the main activities that humans carry out in relation to it. For this, we will divide our study into three parts. First, we will dedicate ourselves to analyzing the way in which human beings shape the common world. Second, we will address the Arendtian theater/spectacle metaphor as a basis for reworking the notion of the world and presenting the actors/spectators pair. Third, we will focus on the relationships that viewers establish with the world and with themselves. There we will carry out a classification of the different types of spectators indicated by Arendtian theory and we will focus on the role of spectators who decide to engage with the world for its conformation.es
